Impact Mill CIM

Impact Mill CIM

The CIM impact mill is the basic model of the Continuum product range. It offers a high degree of versatility at comparably low technical complexity thus low price point.
The CIM impact mill is designed for dry fine grinding of a broad range of products. Thanks to a variety of milling tools, the machine can be equipped for any task or application. Retrofitting if materials or the required product properties have changed, has been a primary design goal. Depending on task, the impact mill is equipped with a suitable rotor-stator variant. Whether as a sieveless pin mill with a rotating and a fixed pin disk, as a beater mill with a fixed disk of rigid hammers or a pendulum hammer disk, there are numerous practice-oriented combinations of grinding tools. A model variant with a second drive mounted on the housing door transforms the machine to counter-operated mill with double the RPM.

Applications:

The CIM impact mill is universal in its operation for grinding of materials up to 3 on the Mohs' scale. The fineness is adjusted by selection of the corresponding size reduction elements and as a function of the machine speed, whereby belt pulleys need to be exchanged in the case of the larger machine sizes. Smaller machines are often driven using frequency converters. Most applications are to be found in the chemicals industry, foodstuffs and animal feed industry.

• Minerals powders: calcium carbonate, fillers, calcium hydroxide. Coating of fillers with stearic acid, silane, etc.

• Food: fatty proteins, spices (nutmeg, cloves, pepper, etc.). Disintegration of powders for protein shifting, corn starch, lactose, cacao, fish meal.

• Chemicals: fine grinding of plastics (e.g. TPU, PA). Pesticides, hydrotalcite, pigments (e.g. ultramarine), carboxymethylcellulose (CMC).

• Recycling: fine grinding of rubber.

Advantages for the operator:

• High process reliability thanks to a robust and proven design

• high price performance through simple construction

• variable due to fast conversion to other mill types

• High grinding performance due to opposing second drive
