Rotary feeder

Process optimization through matching components

The rotary feeder is a cellular wheel sluice as a component in conveyor technology and is used for transporting, discharging and dosing of granular, granular or dusty media.

A rotary feeder is usually located under filter systems, silos and bunkers and is supported by conveyor augers, troughs or pipe chain conveyors, which transport the above mentioned products further. Moreover, cellular wheel sluices are e.g. (PVC and glass fiber), in the production of ceramics, in cement plants and in the feed industry for transporting, discharging and dispensing very abrasive media such as dusts and granulates.

The RFHD rotary feeder has an 8-cell sluice gate, fitted with wear-resistant rubber plates.

The lock rotor is separated from the housing by rubber seals. The shaft is suspended in a bearing and directly coupled to the engine, which ensures a stable operation. Only gearboxes from Nord and three-phase motors from Siemens are used for the drive train.

The rotor sluice is made of 8 mm steel sheet as a stable welded construction. Thus, the smallest rotary valve sluice of size DN250 weighs approx. 92 kg.
